• Each monthly meeting features demonstrations by local, regional, or national woodturners. These demonstrations range from basic and simple turning techniques to advanced and complex methods.

  • Each meeting includes a raffle of wood blanks, tools, books and other items of interest.

  • The Club maintains a small but growing lending library consisting of books magazines, videos, and journals which are available to the members.

  • Each member has the opportunity to bring items to the monthly meetings that they have turned to showcase their skills or to obtain advice on difficulties faced.

  • A club website is maintained which features timely announcements, summaries of past demonstrations, a members' gallery, classified ads, links to schools, woodturning shows and symposiums, and other items of interest.

  • Announcements of interest to the members are posted regularly via email including exhibit opportunities, availability of turning wood, tool sales, training opportunities and so forth.

  • Scholarships are made available to members to participate in regional turning symposia and schools as Club resources permit.

  • Many advantages to members result from the Club being chartered by the American Association of Woodturners including liability insurance, national contacts, and educational grant possibilities.

  • Training opportunities are available from several members who are accomplished and experienced woodturners and who give private lessons.

  • Every meeting provides the opportunity for fellowship and learning with others who share a love of woodturning both as a craft and as an art form.
